Clinton "Gene" Greene

Clinton Eugene “Gene” Greene, age 70, of London, KY, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at University of Louisville Health.

Born in Hamilton, OH, Gene was truly a jack of all trades. He enjoyed working with his hands, especially through home renovations and woodworking projects that reflected both his skill and creativity. He also loved being outdoors, where fishing brought him a sense of peace and joy.

Faith and family were always at the center of Gene’s life. He found strength and comfort in studying his Bible and treasured the opportunity to minister and fellowship with others as a member of Barbourville Hill Pentecostal Church.

Gene was preceded in death by his father, Clinton Greene. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Roberta Robinson Greene; son, Adam Greene; grandchildren, Clinton Tommy Greene, Cameron William Greene, and Brooklyn Greene; great-grandchildren, Addison Hatcher and Mason Greene; brother, Jim Greene; and step-sons, Phillip Richardson and Rodney Richardson. Each of them will carry forward his love and memory.

Visitation will be held from 12:00–2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where his funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Billy Joe Taylor, Rev. Travis Shinevarre, and Rev. Harris Brewer officiating. 

Burial will follow at Stansbury Cemetery in Corbin, KY.
