Christine Broughton

Christine Broughton, age 77, of Corbin, passed away on Friday May 20, 2016 at Hillcrest Health and Rehabilitation in Corbin.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R.C. Broughton; Son, Carl Broughton, Parents, George and Nellie Taylor Gross; Sisters, Mary Sasser and Julie Herron; Brothers, Tilmon Gross, Junior Gross, Carl Gross, and Randall Gross.
Christine is survived by her legal guardian, caregiver, and friend, Doris Creech; Sisters, Kathern Sawyers, Edna Simpson, Maggie Kirgan, and Katie Sawyers; Brothers, Bristol Gross, Roscoe Gross, and Ed Gross; and by several nieces and nephews and by many friends.
Funeral service for Christine Broughton will be held at 1pm on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, with Rev. Jim Cook officiating.
Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery in Keavy.
