Charlie Webster Temple Jr., passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at his home in Corbin, Kentucky.
Born on July 13, 1931, in Aiken, SC, a son of the late Charlie Webster Temple and Rosalie Derrick Temple.
Charlie was a man of unfaltering faith, dedicated to his service at the Poplar Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon and a Greeter. His faith was an inspiration to all, and he continuously set an example of strength, humility, and unwavering commitment to his beliefs.
Charlie's industrious spirit led him to a career as a Transport Truck Driver with the Teamsters, from which he retired after many years. His love for cars and all things mechanical was more than just a hobby; it was a testament to his fascination with the intricate workings of the world. His exceptional memory was a unique gift that he used to enrich the lives of those around him. Charlie enjoyed studying maps, often reliving the many places he had traveled through his work. He also worked as a car salesman while still in Detroit. Charlie was also a proud 32nd degree Mason.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carole June Jones Temple, who preceded him in death one month ago on June 18, 2026. He was also preceded in death by his son, Charlie W. Temple III; brothers, Julian and Earl Temple; and sisters, Evelyn Temple Baker and Myrtle Temple Johnson
He is survived by his loving daughters, Stephanie Temple of Lexington, and Mia Temple of Corbin; his sister, Rebecca Doar and husband James of Columbia, SC; and by his in-laws, Merle Smith, Harold and Wanda Jones, and Edna Johnson.
