Carmen Maria Orr

Carmen Maria Orr, age 69, departed this life on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at her home in Woodbine, Kentucky.

Born on July 23, 1956, in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, Carmen was the daughter of the late Genaro & Gladys Albarran. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Orr; sisters, Lydia Albarran, Zulma Albarran Lomanto, and Julie Albarran Capellan; grandson, Jazzhon Rosado, granddaughter, Honesty Rosado; and a niece, Jovan Albarran.

Carmen was a people person through and through, her charisma lighting up any room she entered. Her ability to connect with others was second nature, a gift that made her the life of the party. Carmen found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a special love for gardening, a passion that mirrored her nurturing soul and her ability to make things blossom around her. Dancing was another joy of hers, a reflection of her lively spirit and a demonstration of her belief that life, like dance, is best lived with passion and joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Arisally Rosado; brothers, Genaro Albarran Jr., Jamie Albarran (Carol), and Roberto "Bobby" Albarran (Sharon); sisters, Soralinda Albarran Kuchar (Frank) and Rosemary Albarran; and by many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Renee and Glenn Bolton, Linda Osborne and Wade, Doug and Billie Bluett, Scott and Janet Francis, and each of their children and grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Monday, April 6, 2026, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home in Corbin, Kentucky.  Her funeral service will be held at 2:00pm at the funeral home with Bro. Brandon Azbill officiating.
