Bonnie Darlene Wells

Bonnie Darlene Wells, age 79, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at Essex Health and Rehabilitation in Louisville, KY.

Born in Corbin, Kentucky, she was preceded in death by her husband, Vola Wells; a daughter, Linda McVey; and by her siblings, Edward "Bubby" Hollingsworth Jr., Raymond Hollingsworth, Margie Abner, Wanda Gail Niehaus, and Doris Williams.

In her leisure time, Bonnie was an avid fan of watching TV and cheering for her favorite team - the UK Wildcats.

She is survived by her loving daughters, Janet Wells (Scott), and Teresa Wells Stidham; grandchildren, Jonathon Wright, Joseph Green, Eric Green, Rachel Green, and Haylee Stidham; great-grandchild, Melody Green; her sister, Lillie Minton; several extended siblings; and by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2 pm on Friday, May 29, 2026, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, where her funeral service will be held at 2;00 pm.

Burial will follow in the Corinth Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky.
