Billy Ray Breeding, Sr.

Billy Ray Breeding, Sr., age 92, of Corbin, passed away on Sunday, December 13, 2020. Born in Letcher County, KY, Billy was the son of the late Linza and Oma Hammonds Breeding. He was also preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Boggs Breeding; four brothers Elmer Breeding, Jack Breeding, Bobby Joe Breeding and Bennett Breeding; and two sisters Mary Elizabeth Johnson and Dolly Lotierzo. He had been a heavy equipment mover, and was a member of Grace on the Hill United Methodist Church. Surviving are his son Billy Ray Breeding; daughter Karen Wyrick (Ron); five grandchildren: Amy Breeding, Stacey Abbott, Lori Rink (Brian), Linza Crawford (Scott), and Joy Breeding; eight great-grandchildren: Hayley Abbott, Houston Abbott, Seth Crawford, Samuel Crawford, Emma Crawford, Katherine Polly Rink, Caden Hendrickson, and Ellington Rose Terry. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, December 21, 2020, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will be in Cumberland Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19, everyone is asked to wear a mask and to remember to socially distance.
