Billy D. Ratliff

Billy D. Ratliff, 62, of Keavy, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
Born at Hazard, he was a son of the late Wilford and Irene Smith Ratliff. A brother, Ricky Reece, also preceded him in death.
Billy had been a heavy equipment operator in coal strip mining. He was a Baptist, and enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Glenna Smith Ratliff; two daughters: Karen Watts and husband Harry of London, and Tina Babb and husband Michael of Corbin; four grandchildren: Ben Roark, Tristan Roark, Mikey Babb and Kaylee Watts; an uncle, Harold Smith of Hazard; two aunts, Mary Miller of Hazard and Grace Smith of Grays Lake, IL; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Billy's visitation will be 5 - 8 pm Saturday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. His funeral will be held at 2 pm Sunday there with Pastor David Helton officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
