Billie D Walters

Billie D. Walters, 71 of Corbin, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016, at his home with his children by his side.
He spent 22 years in the U.S. Army and retired a 1st Sergeant in 1983. He enjoyed fishing and being on the lake. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: Lewis & Martha, his brother, Wendall, and his first grandson, James Timothy, infant son of Jimmy and Tina Walters.
Survivors include his two sons and their wives: Bobby and Patsy Walters and Jimmy and Tina Walters, all of Corbin, A grandson: Sean and Sierra Walters. Three granddaughters: Staci and Matt Hibbard, Heather Lunsford, and Shelby and Cameron Hunley. Three great grandsons: Chase Michael Walters, Bentley Smith, and Seth Hibbard. Two great granddaughters: Madilynn Hibbard and Payton Hunley. Two brothers: Sam Farris of Corbin and Johnny and Gina Farris of Texas, Five sisters: Shirley Ann Jackson and Bea Tuttle of Corbin, Betty Amburgey of Texas, Nellie Shaw of Michigan and Maudie Clark of Florida.
Bill was laid to rest at the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin with military honors.
