Betty Joe Younts

Betty Joe Younts, of Corbin, Kentucky, passed away on Sunday October 4, 2026, at Baptist Health in Corbin.

She was Born on June 22, 1944, in Oneida, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Dave Butler and Lottie Marcum Butler.

Betty's love for her family was unmatched and was her most cherished hobby. She found immense joy in the small, precious moments of life, like a hearty family meal or a quiet evening with her family. Betty was Baptist by faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Sophia Grimes, Thomas Younts, Randy Younts, and Rick Butler; and by her siblings, Tommy Butler, Geraldine Rice, Minnie Powell, Genevive Hensley, Darlene Webb, and Geneva Caudill.

Betty is survived by her children, Jeannie Hutton (Tom Hill), and Chester Younts (Shannon Feltner); grandchildren, Patrick Younts, Anthony Younts, Jessica Grimes, Brent Younts, Megan Warren, Nathan Younts, Derrick Butler, R.J. Warren, and Kaitlyn Butler; numerous great grandchildren, sister Stella Davidson; and by several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation for Betty Younts will be held from 11AM until 1PM on Thursday October 8, 2026, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, in Corbin, KY. Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday October 8, 2027, with Pastor Rob Morgan officiating.

Burial will be in the Grimes Heavenly View Cemetery in Jackson County, Kentucky.
