Betty Louise Davis

Betty Louise Davis, age 93, of Harrogate TN, passed away on Sunday April 7, 2024, at Barbourville Health and Rehabilitation in Barbourville, KY.

She was a retired cashier from the former Piggly Wiggly in Middlesboro, KY. Betty was a devout Christian and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Harrogate where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed crocheting and crafts, but most of all, Betty loved people.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Davis Jr., parents, Ora Martin and Media Martin, and by her siblings, Jack Martin, Gene Martin, and Faye Rose.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Brenda Hammons and husband Bill; grandson, Lucas Hammons and wife Amanda; great grandchildren, Abigayle Grace Hammons, Tucker Davis Hammons, and Layla Belle Hammons, and by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Betty Davis will be from 11am until 12noon on Thursday April 11, 2024, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Her funeral service will begin at 12noon with Rev. Mike Humfleet officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrogate Cemetery in Harrogate, TN.
