Barbara Joyce Jerrell

Barbara Hollingsworth Jerrell, age 64, of Gadsden, Alabama,  passed away on Monday, September 2, 2013, in Gadsden
.She was born in Corbin, and she was a happy homemaker who loved raising her children and caring for her husband.
Barbara was preceded in death by her Parents, Robert Hollingsworth and Susie Marie Moore Hollingsworth; first husband, Melvin Wayne Mitchell Sr.; two Brothers, Lonnie and Ovie Hollingsworth; and by two Sisters, Jean O'Meara and Betty Jo Durham.
She is survived by her devoted Husband, Warren "Pete" Jerrell; five Children: Randy Mitchell and wife Teresa of Corbin; Lisa Glenn and husband Pete of Durham, NC; Sonya Turner and husband Doug of Durham, NC; Denise Travis and husband Thomas of Henderson, NC; and Melvin Wayne Mitchell of Gadsden, Ala; Sister, Jackie Williamson of Corbin; Brother, David Hollingsworth of Georgia; Grandchildren, Justin Glenn, Jessica Mitchell, Whitney Turner, Brittani Travis, Randy Wayne Mitchell Jr., Jennifer Travis, Jonathan Glenn, Zachery Mitchell, Andrew Travis, Jared Glenn, and Hunter Blake Turner; four great Grandchildren, McKenleigh, Tayton, Jon-Jon, and Noah; numerous nieces, nephews, and by her beloved pet, Benny.
Funeral service for Barbara Jarrell will be held at 1pm on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Hisle officiating. Burial will follow in the Rest Haven Cemetery in Corbin.
