Anna Louise 'Lucy' Garland

Anna Louise "Lucy" Garland, 66, of Lily, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2004.
Born March 25, 1938 in Cannon, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Nan Elizabeth Henson Garland. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Andy, Roland and Clifton Garland; and by a beloved great-nephew, Rocky Evans.
She is survived by five sisters: Amanda G. Smallwood and husband Oakley of Barbourville; Margie Goley of Detroit, Michigan; Sarah Napier of Barbourville; Aleene Barton and husband E.J. of Woodbine;  and Doris Hibbard of Barbourville; three brothers: Marvin Garland and wife Florence of Corbin; Gene William Garland and wife Carol of Michigan; and Leonard Thomas Garland of Falmouth, Kentucky; a niece, Sherry Ann Gray and husband Johnny of Lily; great-nephew Robert Evans and wife Sherritta of Lily; great-great-nephews, Robert Samuel Evans of Lily and Rocky Cody Evans of Barbourville; and a great-great-niece, Meghan Renee Evans of Barbourville. She also leaves many other loving family members that will mourn her passing.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, September 3, 2004 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Mark Gilbert and Rev. Josh VanNorstran officiating. Burial will follow in the Family Cemetery in Lily.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 pm Thursday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
