Wayne Stephenson

Wayne Stephenson, age 86, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, at Baptist Regional Medical Center. Born in Aden, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Burl and Patty Knipp Stephenson. He was a retired self-employed contractor and a U.S. Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters, and by a son, Wayne Stephenson, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Geneva Rains Stephenson; his son, Howard Stephenson; nine grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren, all who mourn his passing. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon Saturday, August 6, until the time of the service at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Forrest Baker and Rev. Della Snyder officiating.
