Susan Kay Burke Reeves

Susan Kay Burke Reeves, age 57, of Lily, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2011, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born in Corbin, she was the daughter of the late Lincoln Burke and Effie Barton Burke. Susan was Baptist by faith and had worked in Pre-trial Services in the court system.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Fred Reeves; and her sister, Bev Herbie.
She is survived by her son, Richard Sanders and wife Lisa of Corbin; her daughter, Nancy Collins and husband Henry of Lily; grandchildren, A.C. Daniel Collins and Haley Renee Collins; brothers, Bill, Mike, Earl and Randy Burke; sisters, Janice Rileigh, Geraldine Miller, Vivian Whittamore, and Sharon Baker; and numerous nieces and nephews who mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be at 11am on Thursday, May 19, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Herschel Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Cumberland Memorial Gardens in Lily.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm on Wednesday, May 18, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY.
