Paul Rodney Hacker, 74, of Nancy, KY, passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018, at UK Medical Center in Lexington.
Born in Manchester, Kentucky, Paul was the son of the late Chester Arthur Hacker and Alma Dozier Ferguson. He had worked in construction as a carpenter. Paul had a vast knowledge about firearms, as well as pocket knives which he liked to collect. He was also avid about gardening and canning.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Wayne David Hacker, William David Ferguson, and Larry Edward Ferguson.
Paul is survived by three sisters: Jacqueline Hacker Hobbs, Karen Sue Moose, and Patricia Kiser; brothers: Kenneth Ray Ferguson and Barkley Hacker; and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, September 20, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in the Dozier Cemetery at Gray.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 am Thursday until the funeral at 1:00 at the funeral home.
