Nell Creech Bird

Nell Creech Bird, 98, of Corbin and formerly of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, May 31, 2006 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
Born August 25, 1907 at Four Mile, Kentucky in Bell County, she was the daughter of the late Millard F. Creech and Sallie Wilder Creech. Mrs. Bird was a homemaker and a member of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Millard and Sallie Wilder Creech; her husband, Faulkner C. Bird; her son-in-law, Rex Faulkner; sisters, Rose Garrett, Zella Campbell, and Geneva Sharp; and brothers, Tyrus, Milt, Dan, Ben, Millard, and Bob Creech.
She is survived by daughters Nancy Bird Faulkner of Corbin and Louise W. Hearn (Jim) of Middlesboro, Kentucky; three grandchildren, Pamela Ball-Toole (Tom), Vickie Ball Partin (Jimmy) and Sam Jackson (Paula); nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Bill Creech of Riverside, California.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Max Cox (great-nephew) officiating. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, June 2, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
