Laura Day Hogg

Laura Day Hogg, 83, of Corbin, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2004 in the Rockcastle Health and Rehabilitation in Mt. Vernon.
She was born Dec. 17, 1920 in Leslie County, a daughter to the late Floyd Day and the late Martha Sizemore Day.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one son, Steven Bauer; one brother,Jimmy Day; one sister, Leona Eaton; one grandchild, Venita Ramsey; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew and Amanda Ramsey.
She was a homemaker and believed in the Protestant faith. She was a member of Locust Grove Church of Christ.
She is survived by her husband, Hazel Hogg of Corbin; one daughter, Mable Martin and husband Glenn of Loveland, Ohio; five brothers, Homer Day of Stanford, KY, Thomas Day of Wooton, KY, Billy Ray Day of Wooton, KY, Donell Day of Keavy, Jerry Day of Stanford, KY; one sister, Judy Lewis of London; five grandchildren, Linda Renner, Tim Martin, Tom Bauer, Gary Bauer, Ginny Hurley; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, relatives and loved ones.
The funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday in the Corbin Funeral Home chapel with Rev. David Maltzan officiating. Burial will be in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 9 pm Friday, Sept. 10 at the Corbin Funeral Home.
