Josie R. Messer

Josie R. Messer, age 89, of Corbin passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2006 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center.
She was born on May 30, 1917 in Knox County to the late Seaberry Reynolds and Hallie Williams Reynolds.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Park Hill Pentecostal Holiness Church in Corbin.
In addition to her Parents she was preceded in death by her Husband, Caleb Messer; two Brothers, Leland and Aaron Reynolds, two Sisters, Myrtle Cummins and Emma Twart.
She is survived by her Nine Children; Rita Bozza of Melbourne, FL, James Messer and wife Velear of Corbin, Roy Messer of Harrodsburg, KY, Marie Rose of Corbin, Pauline Wells and husband Willard of Corbin, Hobert Messer and wife Kathy of Largo, FL, Imogene Chamness and husband Bill of Corbin, Wayne Messer and wife Nancy of Keavy, and Jack Messer and wife Anita of Lexington, Ray Messer and wife Cecil of Melbourne, FL; 16 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren; 6 Great Great-Grandchildren; Several Nieces, Nephews, Family and Friends who will mourn her passing.
Funeral service will be on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at 2pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Corbin. Pallbearers will be Kenny Terrell, Rick Rose, L. Ricky Rose, David Messer, Bobbie Messer, John Bunch, Chris Owens, Hobert Messer, and Randall Huff.
Visitation will be on Monday from 6-9pm at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
