Jerry Wayne Walters, age 66, of Keavy, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Baptist Health Corbin.
Born in Laurel County, he was the son of the late Ambers Walters and Betty North Walters who survives. He worked in construction and was a U.S. Army veteran.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents; twin sons, Brian and Timothy Walters; and granddaughter, Angel Walters.
He is survived by his wife, Gayle Neal Walters; mother, Betty North Walters; children: Samuel Walters, Wayne Walters, Candy Bryant Walters, Clay Walters, Debra Walters, William Walters, Robert Walters, and nephew James Walters and wife Tammi; grandchildren: Anthony Walters (Jodie), Joshua Walters (Amy), Jeremy Walters (Chelsea), Taylor Mooneyham, Chase Mooneyham, Corey Mooneyham, Jake Walters, Noah Walters, Mason Walters, Sam Walters, and Donna Walters; five great-grandchildren: Brayden Walters, Kayden Walters, Colton Walters, Xylee Walters, Jackson Walters, and expecting the sixth great-grandchild; two brothers: Leland Walters (Drucilla) and James Walters (Judy); three sisters: Bonnie Begley (Jack), Sue Bolton, and Betty Jean Johnson (Danny), all who mourn his passing.
Funeral service will be at 5:00 pm on Sunday, May 26, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Saturday, May 25, at Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery.
