Janet S. Painter

Janet S. Painter, 60, of Corbin, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016, at her home.
Born in Manchester, KY, she was the daughter of the late Bradley and Louise Gregory Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Bobby Ray Smith and sisters Rosa Ann Goins and Lisa Smith (infant).
Janet had been a cook at several local restaurants in the area.
She is survived by her husband Michael Steven Painter; children: Mary Hensley, Sarah Hinkle, Addie Davis, Delora Wagers, Nicky Lloyd, and LeAnn Painter; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters Geraldine Smith, Barbara Roark, and Teresa Thomas; brothers Ernest Smith and Bradley Smith; and her former husband Adam Wagers.
Funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Roots Branch Cemetery near Clay County.
Pallbearers will be Tim Swafford, William Collins, Calvin McNeeley, Bradley Higgins, R.J. Fryman, and Bobby Smith.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.
