Frances Gilbert Begley

Frances Gilbert Begley, age 79 passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2024, at her home in Dearborn Heights, Michigan.

Born in Bell County, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Gilbert and Hazel North Gilbert. Frances was a homemaker who loved being with and caring for her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Begley in 2010; sisters, Minnie Trice, Geraldine Barton, and Mary Hembree; and by her brothers, Jimmy Gilbert and Lawrence Gilbert

Frances is survived by her two children, Doris Lynn Bashawaty (Bob), and James Begley Jr. (Lisa); grandchildren, Erica, Monique, Vincent, Nicole, Nicolas, and Stacy; great-grandchildren, Diego, Grayson, Raven, Brielle, Ava, Laila, Matthew, Elizabeth, Mya, and Autumn; sisters, Thelma Drummonds and Charlene "Dolly" McVey; brother, Charles Gilbert; several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be from 10 am until 12noon on Sunday, June 2, 2024, at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home, 607 Master Street, Corbin, KY. Her funeral will be held at 12noon on Sunday at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in the Hart Cemetery in Corbin, Kentucky.
