Bill Ray Sawyers, age 54, of Woodbine passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at his home.
He worked for many years as a welder and on the assembly line for Toyota. He also spent some time working as a lineman.
Bill is preceded in death by his  mother, Lily Sawyers; Brother, Maven Sawyers; Mother, Viola Smith; Aunt, Christine Root; and by Mark Sawyers.
He is survived by his sons, Jordan Sawyers and Philip Burchette; Sisters, Mayetta Beaumont (Terry), Cleta Gross (Jimmy) and Karen Lindsey; Brothers, Junior Sawyers (Faith) and George Smith; Cousins, Star Smith, Ginger Smith, Ranee Anderson, Cyndy Hart, Bridgette Smith, Jim Smith, Mike Smith, Steve Bargo, Rick Bargo (Betty), Sandra Hutson, Heather Hilliard, Kelly Lowe, Sylvia Smith, Michelle Weston, Tina Shelton, Betty Wilson, Monica, Michael Sawyers; good friend, Anthony Phipps; and by many other family members and friends.
Funeral service for Bill will be held at 1pm Friday, December 20, 2019 at the Vankirk-Grisell Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Joe Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8pm Thursday, December 19 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has request donations to help with funeral expenses. Donations can be made by selecting the red ‶donate now″ button on this page. The family of Bill Sawyers will be given a list of all who donate.
